Get ready for the 2010 Census!

Information from LWVWI:
Preparations for the 2010 Census are underway and the League of Women Voters is working with others to get an accurate count, representative of the full diversity of our population, in Wisconsin . U.S. Census data comprise the basis for allocating political representation for our state in Washington , DC . In addition, the federal government relies on the census count to allocate almost $400 billion in grants to states for needed government programs and services, including: education, health, crime prevention and infrastructure. States use the census for allotting funds to counties and cities, and for every person not counted, our state will lose $12,000 over the next 10 years.
