The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization. The League works to increase understanding of public policy issues and works to influence public policy through education and advocacy.

The Appleton League of Women Voters takes action on issues by writing letters to the editor, contacting legislators through phone calls, emails, and letters, speaking out at government meetings, and sending out action alerts on pending legislation.  The League also uses social media to inform citizens of legislative action and urges citizens to let their voices be heard.

All advocacy stems from the positions of the League of Women Voters. There are positions at all three league levels, national, state and local. The positions of the Appleton League of Women Voters include positions on local government, natural resources and social policy.
